nitro hammer rc boat?
Posted by admin | Under Uncategorized Saturday May 16, 2009hi i need help , i have a nitro hammer rc boat and i read all the directions and the directions are not clear. how would i shut the motor off. i want to run it today but i dont no how to shut the motor off once i get it running. the directions said to hit the triggle on the controlling foward to cut gas of to the carbs.?????? helpp plss
Hello, welcome to the nitro hobby! To shut off the engine, you can pinch the fuel line. I have never had a nitro boat but I have dealt with nitro engines. On nitro RC cars you can also put your foot on the flywheel, I don't know if you can do this on a boat. You can put your finger over the carb. Pinching the fuel line will over lean the engine and stopping airflow will flood the engine.
As for the directions, it may mean to give it less gas until the engine will shut off due to a lack of fuel.

You need to try an figure out a way to put something over the exhaust, if you use your finger it will probably burn you, so use something else or put something over your finger. Then stop up the exhaust that way you won't be flooding out the motor and you won't be leaning out the motor and it will stop immediately. Just make sure to run out all the fuel if you are going to be letting it sit for any length of time ( more than a few days ).

You can pinch off the fuel line, a cut off from a hospital IV works nice. Plug the muffler, a wood dowel with a pointed end works good. Cut the air off to the carb, put your finger over the carb to stop air. If you can set the trim on the radio so when you turn the sub trim back it closes the carb enough to stop engine. This is the best, you can stop engine without touching boat and turn off when in water if needed.
